... Vienna opera house, street musicians performing in the streets. Vienna is a shoppers dream, which I would compare with London, Paris or New York. There is a street (actually 3 or 4 blocks) which is referred to as the "unaffordable street". We saw many well known stores: Mont Blanc, Louis Vuitton, Ferrari, Maserati, Tiffany, etc. We spent 3.5 days in Vienna, visiting the ...

... a bit out of the way for getting to Salzburg but many pretty scenes, houses and mountains were evident on the road there. This little town is very pretty indeed – high, snowy mountains and a great big lake. Plenty of pretty little houses also. We had a good walk around – took plenty of photos including a funny one of Craig wearing an interesting hat – he looks so much like Poppa in that photo. Only bad thing was that ...

I was woken up at 8:00 by the rain pouring on the roof of our penthouse. Derek was up at 8:45, Erin at 9:00 and I woke Larry up at 9:15 in hopes that the rain would quit. It did not. We spent a lazy morning writing blogs, reading and surfing the internet. The rain started to abate a little about 11:00. The highlight of the morning was the 11:30 arrival of the steam train on the tracks by our apartment. We watched from the balcony. We ...
