    ... ve been given better food because they mostly make the same thing for all the dietary people. Anyway to get out of eating bread is good with me. The Swarovski museum was amazing. The crystal clouds weren't as impressive as I thought but the various rooms were interesting. It's crazy what people can make and design. There was a crystal dome and it felt like I was inside a kaleidoscope. ...

    ... in English. The place is mainly designed to educate Germans about their history. The museum is located on top of the bunkers used by the Nazis and you can go down and look through the eerie tunnels and rooms. Lunch was in the adjoining restaurant before we tackled the journey home. Katrina had a go at driving with me as her navigator. She did a great job. I was a lousy navigator but in my defense I saw a sign ...

    After packing this morning we popped out for breakfast before heading off to Kufstein in Austria The road wound through some spectacular alpine country, passing by Zugspitz, Germany's highest mountain. Every holiday maker seemed to be taking to the road as many RV's and caravans passed us going in the opposite direction. Many motor bike riders were out for a ride as well. The road eventually flattened out onto the autobahn where ...

    ... on site which were fun to sample as we worked our way up the street to. I managed to get into a few outdoor/ski stores and like most Austrian valleys the stores are stuffed with quality gear for summer and winter. And for the geography interested readers the end of the valley holds the only skiable glacier that is open 365 days a year for alpine skiing. The other aspect of this cultural immersion is I have not thought about the Oilers once. That has been healthy for my blood pressure.
