    ... for petrol, groceries and lunch in there so not to bad a day. We are camped by a lake by Villach in the South West of Austria. Its only a one night stop before we head to Croatia tomorrow.     Sleeping well in the comfy bed and air conditioning, and deciding against fighting with the thousands of tourists to go up to the castle, Beaver made the most of the large selection on offer and had a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, then went on to the next stop Villach. The bus to Salzburg station left right outside the hotel and in no time Beaver had managed to get tickets for the train to Villach and the bus from Villach to Venice as that was direct ...

    As regards our Romanian holiday we have booked our accommodation, a real mixture of smart(ish) hotels, wayside B&Bs and self catering. We have the outline of a route-around 4000 kms in total taking us over the Transalpina and the Transfagarasan via a few castles all the way to the Danube Delta on the Black Sea and back via the Iron Gate Gorge,Belgrade and Zargreb.
