      trouble.
I headed for the docks to see a old steam ship that is being restored there
and after that the satnav was set up to get me out of town and onwards through
      Slovenia and beyond.
Down at the docks the temp was a wonderful 19 Celsius but as I started
climbing the steep roads out of the city it began to get colder by the minute
and by the time I am out the city the temp has fallen to 11 Celsius. Heated

... the laptop fixed but it needs more time to find the problem so will have to wait till Salzburg. Looking forward to Salzburg should be good. See you all there. Auf ...

... this has become somewhat of an annual pilgrimage, usually to the Istrian peninsula and Rovinj which we love, but this year we have decided to venture a little further afield and take the coast road as far south as Dubrovnik, poking our nose into Montenegro to visit another of the 14 villages in Europe called Malta and then making our way back overland through part ...

... English, had a bus timetable with him and advised us to stay on the train until Klagenfurt, three stops away. We could then board the bus for Venice from there. We would only be 11/2 hrs late. That sounded like a plan. I mean we had always wanted to go to Klagenfurt ........a relation perhaps to Frankfurt?? Not sure! Anyway, this kind young man even gave us plan B......if the bus at Klagenfurt was booked out, there was a train at 4.30pm for Venice. So there we ...
