... I hope we can get them into Australia! Five minutes before our departure transfer was due to take us down to the ferry terminal, the yellow bus turned up with Marie - our tour guide from the other day, and also the hostess on our transfer when we arrived in Moorea, so we wandered over - she said no, kissed me on the cheek and said another bus will be here to take us, and proceeded to take her incredibly wonderful garland of flowers off her head and put it on mine! ...
... a few hours off so I got some lunch, took a nap, did my
laundry and soon enough I was back at the waving and smiling again. For another
hour and a half I had to stand at the gangway inside welcoming the new
passengers. This was even more pointless because there are at least three other
people greeting them; security, photography, and steward. I was just in the
way. But through that I got to know the security workers more and the photographer
so that was ...
... was hard to take after being in the comfort of the air conditioned ship,but thankfully the car had a good a/c as well.
First stop we decided to go check out the Tahiti museum.
We found the displays were very good and gave us a good insight on life as it was in Polynesia. Not unlike that of New Zealand's early history as well.
Funny that:- they are descendants!
We wanted to at least paddle in the tempting ...
