... No sharks or stingrays, just beautiful coral, iridescent clams, and abundant colorful fish life. We arrived back to the pier exuberant, pinching ourselves at our good fortune to be here. The day was still young so we paid our $5 fare to Matira beach in the back of a 4wd -stopping briefly at Bloody Mary's bar and restaurant with a large sand floored thatched bure, famous more for the celebrities who visit and whose names are etched into timber signs out front, than what they serve. ...
