... back to the airport. When the taxi then came to 7000, it wasn't the ideal start to the time here. It was dark when we arrived. An old lady showed us to our bungalow and even though it was dark, all we could see from the patio doors was sea. It looked perfect even in the darkness. She had limited English but must of asked us about 6 times if we wanted to rent a car for the following day. We tried to explain that our stay here was just about sitting around the pool and ...

In 1788 Captain Bligh came here with the Bounty. The sailors were so happy here that when ...

Up at 8.00, and at 8.40 Emeric gave us a lift to a beach near the airport about forty minutes walk from the port. He was going in that direction anyway and had an appointment. He is a Chiropractor. We spent several hours on the beach, sunbathing and swimming. There was a Sofihotel just along the beach, with lots of over-the-water bungalows, but we didn't make use of it. At 1.00 we made our way to the road to hitch a lift, walk or catch a bus. However ...

... us tonight. Depending on the weather forcast Nathalie will take us round the island for the day, hopefully tomorrow. The going rate is €120 for the two of us, but there is no real option if the coast of the island, maybe 120k, is to be explored. There used to be trucks acting as buses as in Thailand. No longer, I think the French have introduced EC rules to somewhere were they don't fit. And there are no bus timetables, you just stand at a ...
