... br>Our hotel was out of the main town of Papeete, and was very relaxing.

We had an ocean view room that had a great view during the day and at night.





The sand is black, the water is warm, life is great. It was neat to sit by the pool, read a book and sip on a Mai Tai.



One can never get away from doing the washing.

also had 6 weeks off before the birth of her child and 10 weeks after

... priced French wine, New Zealand wine is not stocked even though it's the nearest wine producing country. Some of the expensive bottles of French wine didn't sell too well, they had thick layers of dust on them (serves them right). I found some delicious Argentinean wine in cardboard litre packs at a fraction of the cost. We came across a group of musicians busking in the main street playing guitars & solid body ukuleles, which sounded a bit like banjos.

They were British and after finding out when the bus left, they decided to rent a car and offered me a ride home.
