... and watching on the unpredictable TV together, we biked into Abcoude, to watch the dynamic competition between the two rival teams in a outdoor bar surrounded by a sea of hundreds of loud, tall and orange fans. We couldn't believe that Holland didn't score the entire game, considering their two crossbars, one post and countless other opportunities, however, they won, so it was all good. Biking home at 1:30 in the morning, in the rain only made the experience all the better.

... much to ourselves for the rest of the trip. The Mildeslot Castle was very good, I particularly enjoyed the guided tour which was given in mostly Dutch. We encountered more stairs, 83 in fact to go through the tower route, but it was well worth the climb. At about 2.30pm we got back on the boat and headed back to Ijburg. ... out and wave to us. Only in Amsterdam. I will not go into any of the other lovely things we saw in the Redlight district. Didn't stay for long. We then went to this great little neighborhood called the Jordaan. It had great little shops, restaurants and canals. It was such a nice area. ... and didn't go for very long. We did another loop and decided we'd head off home. It really was freezing. We got back to the room and warmed up and relaxed for a bit. Around 5pm we got hungry so went for a walk back to the central area. We visited the Greenhouse which was packed and spent a bit of time in there. We did some more walking and found the pasta place from last night where we ate again. Their pasta is so fresh and amazing. We wandered slowly back to the room ...
