... to see and do more. If it wasn’t for the prostitution and smell of weed every 5 minutes, I am sure I could come to love this city. We have found that bike tours are definitely the way to go to see a good about of the city and also learn about the culture and history.

So now we find ourselves en-route to Berlin, a 6 hour train ride (we are only 1.5 hours into the ride now). We are only there for 2 nights as well and will be getting in around 17:00 tonight. ...

We learned so much today!

Back in the day merchant houses were built from ******, porous material so they leaned them forward so when it rained it would only hit the top rather than the whole facade. Also, it helped them transport goods up into their place. In between touring the Red Light District, we managed to do the hop on hop off canal boat tours. They have three different routes so we purchased a 48 hour ticket and used them for transport around town. ... the Swedish King & Queen. We saw the Royal Guards, the Royal procession of vehicles, and the Royal couples. Pretty cool! - Nieuwe Kerk (New Church) - beside the palace. 600 years old. Representative of the bare churches here in contrast to the more elaborate churches in the rest of Europe. Catholic churches were stripped and vandalized by Protestant extremists in the 1500's.
