I couldn't leave our France blog without trying to put our trip into some type of visual context that expresses how much we enjoyed our trip. I hope I have achieved that with a short ...

Our last day of museums/art galleries

A travel blog entry by sindlen on Feb 01, 2014

... The museum closed at 5.30, we left at 5.31, after cleaning out the gift shop, and headed back to the hotel (two blocks away).

We decided to head over to the White House. It was a lovely walk – much warmer than two days ago, and as it was dark fun to see the monuments lit up and to watch people ice skating in the grounds of the Natural History Museum. We found the White House without any trouble, and didn't ...

Hmmm...yes mum...I still fit into my clothes.....good grief! We continued on a rather boring drive with an anticipated stop being where Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland potentially met according to the gps. When we got to the supposed point, there were no signs...we were duped! And it wasn't a ...

    Day 39 - Washington

... This is lovely and a welcome break from the usual indoor exhibits. There are the usual suspects, such as Moore, Calder and Flanagan. More unusual is a house by Liechtenstein which appears to change as we walk by it. Ethan is keen to see the dinosaur hall at the Natural History museum and so although we are all a bit "museumed out", we psych ourselves up for this. What can I say. It is well done but I am not a dinosaur nerd ...
