... of the year. The campground has many folks who have permanent sites and use them for summer and weekend retreats. All the neighbors were friendly and seem to have developed their own small community. Robin had prepared dinner the night we arrived and served her mom's famous homemade spaghetti. It was delicious. From Sturgeon Bay to Carlsville, Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Ephraim, Sister Bay, Ellison Bay, and at the tip of the peninsula- Gill's Point. Robin and Steve were our personal tour guides. ... was always marked by the odd hardwood tree turning a brilliant yellow or orange, usually in isolation among the evergreen trees. What I saw yesterday was an embarrassment of riches, everywhere I turned acres and acres of golds, reds and oranges covered the landscape. I tried a couple of times to get a good photo, but nothing could do it justice. Now when people say 'I miss the fall colors', I will have much more sympathy for them. I would miss them ...
