Saturday we spent exploring the area around Mark Twain Lake. We started at the Visitor's Center attached to Clarence Cannon Dam. There is a nice viewing area where you can overlook the dam and view some of the lake. It is a very large lake, or at least seems so. We went into Hermann, toured the Stone Hill Winery, the Hermann Wurst Shoppe, stopped in a Brewery (for Greg, of course), and then had a bite of BBQ. A good day, despite the oppressive heat (which seems to be the theme of this summer's travels!)
