This resort is another one with a beautiful pool (and another one available to us through Resort Parks International).
We went into Hermann, toured the Stone Hill Winery, the Hermann Wurst Shoppe, stopped in a Brewery (for Greg, of course), and then had a bite of BBQ. A good day, despite the oppressive heat (which seems to be the theme of this summer's travels!)

Made it as far as Warrenton, Missouri on day 2. As you can see by the picture, Braddock has become a lapdog. Nice weather and mostly decent roads so far. Tried a short cut in Western Kentucky, though, where the two-lane highway had bumps and dips and a very narrow bridge over the Mississippi River. Probably won't do that one again. Nebraska ...

I'm assuming that if you're reading this, you've probably been a fairly faithful reader over the months and know the ups and downs we've experienced while on the road since April. Thank you for still reading...we're in our second to last week and it feels mighty strange to be almost done.

... to drive us around on Monday because she had just broken her foot. She had another contact get in touch with us and he said to email him back letting him know where to pick us up. We did, but then never heard back from him. At 9:30pm Sunday night, we finally got a hold of him and realized that the email we had for him was his work email and he didn't have access to it all weekend. Yeesh...we're lucky we connected at all today! Haha...
