Made it as far as Warrenton, Missouri on day 2. As you can see by the picture, Braddock has become a lapdog. Nice weather and mostly decent roads so far. Tried a short cut in Western Kentucky, though, where the two-lane highway had bumps and dips and a very narrow bridge over the Mississippi River. Probably won't do that one again. Nebraska ...

I'm assuming that if you're reading this, you've probably been a fairly faithful reader over the months and know the ups and downs we've experienced while on the road since April. Thank you for still reading...we're in our second to last week and it feels mighty strange to be almost done.

For the most part, our trip is over except for getting home. Today we crossed Kansas (after viewing a terrific sunrise) and got a little over halfway through Missouri, where rainstorms interfered with our intended destination. We had hoped to get past St. Louis, but after riding 50 miles in a steady rain, we got a room and ...

Bugs

This so called camp and RV place had a hot shower place. The shower was about a block or more away from the campground. As soon as you turned on the hot water, the bugs that were already wandering the floors and walls multiplied monumentally as they came running to share the shower with you. It was hard to dodge them. We continued the day with cold and rainy weather. I guess it was nuts to think otherwise. We went through McBaine and ...
