... to explore Antwerp. For me, it felt like a mixture of Krakow, Amsterdam (but without the canals) and Barcelona.

There was an excellent shopping high street and a historic centre and square, where we had supper (pizza as we were still full from the meal the night before).

In the afternoon, we had a meeting at the JMU common room called "the Monty." We were to turn in our two text books. Dr. Wright was not there to meet us, but Mrs Wright and Alex were. We all knew that Dr. Wright still wasn't feeling well and he didn't improve on the Austria/Germany trip. ... take the train behind it because the last carriage on this train had to be repaired.

That train was only going as far as Rotterdam, so people going on further to Antwerp and Belgium had to change there and pick up a connecting train to Brussels, which meant that the trains were mobbed!
