From the museum, we set off on foot towards the city centre. The next stop was the Carolus Borromeus Church accross for the Antwerp museum. This was a small church, its interior glamorized with many fine paintings by Rubens, the famous Flemish baroque artist.

... were locals. The Gentse Feesten was the major attraction this week. It's a week long party with music and drama for the local population with around 2 million visitors over the course of the festival. Hopped on a train this morning to Antwerpen and to get a connection onto Amsterdam. Hopefully I won't have the outrageous tourist prices of Bruges to deal with. Up to 10 euros a waffle ...

... Bingen, where we had dinner at a cozy little restaurant called Zum Geschwollenen Herz (The Swollen Heart). Our main courses were jagerschnitzel (breaded pork with hunter mushroom sauce), with potato croquettes and salad, and raumschnitzel (breaded pork with a cream sauce), spaetzle and salad. My oh my, I'm not sure it gets much better than this! Seriously YUMMY!!

... t stay too long at de Prof. We all kind of left in waves. Some left early, some of the boys left later to finish packing, and the rest of us left shortly afterward.

It was not busy that night so when we left the bar, the bartender was nice enough to open the door for us. He said something like "until next time." I found that funny. I realized there would not be a next time. Hopefully, I will return some day. I just hope everything is still the way I remember...

... Barbican, saying simply - ‘It will change your life…‘. We met Henry who is the guitar tech, tour manager and general go-to man (at the merch counter) said ‘Thanks, I hate selling… is there anything here you haven’t got?’ Got a Mermaid Avenue live, which Henry - in beautiful British understatement - said “Its decent”, and a shirt. Got to pace myself, there are 4 shows to go!
