... good, the wind would pick up and we'd have even more leaves and twigs scattered around! Still the exercise kept us fit!

Once the golfers had finished playing in the evenings we'd take the dog for a walk around the part of the course which ran past the house, navigating our way passed some fairly big kangaroos who stood their ground and watched as we passed by.

... Kumarina was our bed roadside sleep stop for the night. Early start on Thursday morning and a wonderful drive to Toodyay, wild flowers, sinking sand and Emu galore amused us as we travelled the many kilometres south.

Anna made us look at her bitten leg and a huge swelling now surrounded the bite. It would be fine in the morning, we told her. ... months of sleeping in Betty, A 4.5 star hotel room would do. Quickly jumped on Lastminute.com and booked two nights at the Holiday Inn in Perth.
Beds and sheets and little shampoo bottles, life doesn't get much better than this. We waited until the kids fell asleep, then down to the car to find the well hidden gifts we brought along.
