not as good as I expected from the very great review on Trip Advisor.

The shower water is cold for over a minute before warming up. There's a constant cat urine stink in the backyard... The room I stayed at was much tinier than a regular hotel. It basically fit a carry-on luggage and a queen bed.

Other than that, the breakfast was nice. The hostess are all friendly.

... Glazed Donuts. Guess what they serve? Right! Glazed donuts and drinks only. Homemade donuts. The girl was making some as we came in. Sandy, half a dozen donut holes. Me, apple/almond fritter. Both good choices.

Walked back to our hotel and about time for Sandy's spa. God bless our daughter Laura...she called ahead and paid for a spa treatment for Sandy. Now that's a good daughter. And I headed out to play ...

Wednesday, we drove into town and checked out the Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center. They have several displays about the reef and the eco-systems that make up the Key West area.

When we drove up to the Center, we saw that they were preparing the parking area and wharf nearby for the off-shore boat races that will be held here this weekend. We were glad we decided to come to the Center today, as it looks like most of the ...

So I had to swim back to shore grab my snorkel, swim back and then spend the next 30 minutes swimming around looking for it. Eventually i found it when i say the orange sticking up out of the sea grass, but I was officially knackered! we laughed about it a lot after though.

... up some of the most graphic T-Shirts I have ever seen. Mixed in with the normal winter escapees, all of them seemed to be barging from one bar to the next (complete with yet another 'famous' Hemingway drinking establishment- Sloppy Joe's) in a desperate bid to maintain an extraordinarily high blood alcohol content.

Suitably battered and bruised, the next morning we decided to contemplate our next ...

... weather we are experiencing. It was interesting to island hop with ocean on both sides of the road. The longest bridge span was 7 miles connecting the middle keys to the lower keys.

Once we arrived in Key West we drove to the Santa Maria Suites, where we are staying for three nights. The hotel is only one block back from both the ocean and the famous Duval Street strip. We have a two storey apartment with a ...
