On top of that, we had purchased plane tickets for August 14th, because we needed to get to France in time for staff training before the DTS (Discipleship Training School) started (September 5th).     ... this experience, ominous foreshadowing #1!

    At Hampshire, TN I happened along this amazing storm cloud and stopped to shoot a quick video of it, the low hanging clouds really looked like cotton candy. I thought it might be pretty neat to 'catch' up to this system, maybe see some lightning ominous foreshadowing #2!

    We decided to head home tonight and finish the trip. It's been an amazing few weeks. I've never felt like I've seen so much and been so exhausted from a trip. This will be a trip I remember forever. I've wanted to do a proper road trip since I was a child and it feels good to have finally done it.     Today's been one heck of a day. We were up around 9ish and got down to opening the presents. The kids seemed to do pretty well, getting most of what was on their individual lists. Later in the afternoon we got into sports mode on the Wii with the grands. We've played so many events today, frankly I'm pooped.
