... a few shots - could not find the right position to take the shots so none came out too impressive. After that, we decided to go north to see the Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge which was not that far from Spokane and way to the west of Palouse. It took us more than an hour to get there. ... out with the fire department, her family turned up so we said our goodbyes and headed on our way. Lewiston stinks! Not in a bad way but due to all the paper mills there is a bad stench in the air. We drove up and down looking for a motel and ended up in the cheapest one we could find, later we found it was the cheapest for a reason!
