... we watched one of the visitors help an elderly man who could not walk well to a car.  We thought he was going to sit in it because it was getting cool but before we know it he is driving off and it takes him about 6 tries to make a U turn and then some people had to get out of their chairs and move so he didn't run them over.  Guess everyone has their problems of when to stop letting elderly people drive. ... champ. That is not an easy job for a couple in their 40's, and I know he is exhausted. He will be camping out here on Woodbine Avenue for the next 11 months, or so, being kept company, of course, by an enthusiastic Sandy and cool Stella. I am not too proud to admit that I get homesick when I am away from my family ...

My initial plan was to spend some time writing and figuring out ways to earn some cash while wasting time in the states. But essentially the months were spent planning a wedding, visiting friends and family - and the highlight - being there for the birth of my newest niece, Kendell Day!

It might have ...

Our trip was finally coming full circle, and our destination today was to return back to the family's home in Delta, PA. We took the Blue Ridge Parkway starting in Asheville to make the drive more enjoyable. Slow winding roads through the beautiful mountains were a definite bonus to our long trip, but it ended up taking hours longer than ...
