... from California. We got ourselves in a cab and headed for our hotel which was about 15 minutes drive out of the city and 20 from the airport. I'm really sick of being ripped off in this country and one way it happens is cabs taking you on the long drive, so I've been getting the quickest route up in my GPS on my phone and telling the driver where to go. ... a good time and it was so nice to do this when it was not
oven hot. The last time I went rafting down the Guadalupe my sides got
chafed before I was even touching the inner-tube. On the way to the
river we drove past Gruene Hall, one of Texas's oldest dance halls.
Kara and I had been once doing our best imitation of the two-step. We
certainly stood out due to our lack of pressed Wranglers, cowboy hats

Finally, they came and wheeled Kathy away and I had to wait to hear from the doctor, then the recovery room nurse. So I did some more hanging around. The nurse called just before Kathy went into surgery. Then when the procedure was complete, the surgeon came out and met with me.
