... we had to merge. Once on the bridge, however, traffic eased up.

Instead of driving through the city, we took a right turn and went south along the Great Highway, San Francisco's version of Lake Shore Drive. Just substitute a vast ocean for Lake Michigan, and giant sand dunes for the flat beaches. Here was the Pacific Ocean again. We couldn't shake it. It stayed on our right side for the rest of the ride home, and was waiting for us in our front yard at Moss Beach.

... out against a pure blue fog, no clouds, it was spectacular!

The guys rode into an area just below the North East side of the bridge onto the grounds of the former Fort Baker. Julie and Sharon drove straight to the bridge this morning and spent the afternoon touring the area including an amazing Children's Discovery Museum.

Through out the ride Bill and Brian met and chatted with other bike riders ...
