... day of partying to celebrate the 'next' birthday. The birthday celebrations kicked off in style at the Social Kitchen & Brewery located on 9th Avenue near the SF Botanic Gardens. Conveniently it was also the penultimate day in San Francisco Beerfest week so everything was falling nicely into place. Our Golden Gate bridge biking adventure

... gone and we had a relaxed ride with plenty of opportunity to look around - so much more enjoyable than the first ride.

Since the sun sets at 5PM, it was dark by the time we got back to the bike rental store. Thankfully most of the last bit of the ride was through a well lit park.

We took the ferry back to Larkspur (about 10 miles past Sausalito on the north side of the bay) and had lovely soak in the hot tub before bed to relax our very tired bodies.
