... for Delaware. We also saw Washington DC and 9 Canadian provinces. Oh Delaware....
- We experienced 3 time zones. Central, Mountain, and Pacific. We weren't in Pacific for too long. We were mostly in Mountain time.
- We drove 4,159 miles in Paul's parents' car. That does not include the 430 miles from our house to their house. So all in all, Paul and I traveled over 5,000 miles for our trip! WOW!

... br> It took a whole hour for the parade to pass, and every float, car etc had sweets that they threw to the children. Some had bags that they gathered them in! We didn't go to the competition in the afternoon.
After lunch, and Carroll got back from his work, we set off to visit Sleepy Eye, which is the town where Michael grew up. We went by Clear Lake, and they told us that it freezes over in the winter and a whole 'city' grows up on the ice, where people put cabins ...

... Civil war. On then to Harriet Island, which is on the Mississippi River, tried to have a paddleboat ride, but none were operating. We had a little walk along the river. Then we drove through Minneapolis looking at the University and other buildings, and on to the Mall of America. ... up some time and hopped on to I-90. The Mississippi bridge was under construction and were able to pull over onto the work lane to snap a few Photos. After gassing up off the highway we decided to take Route 14 W. to New Ulm Minnesota. Tomorrow we are off to Hill City South Dakota which is about 520 miles away.
