... lunch! We stopped at a great place for lunch where fish and salad was the order of the day; with whatever fresh fish had been caught that morning. Scrumptious! Our family had been to Brampton, Hamilton, Green and Magnetic Islands back in Oz and we all agreed that they were far superior in landscape and island utility than any of the Greek Islands we had visited. There was a gorgeous bar pitched on the perfect position to watch it but when we saw the price of the drinks we decided to head back out to sit along the brick wall, with the other peasants, where the view was equally as good. First off we visited Red Beach and if you were thinking it is called Red Beach because it is red, you'd be correct! ...

... the noisy flying object! Our photos done, we take the opportunity to have a relaxing morning coffee at a local cafe while taking in the panoramic view. We are then taken to nearby Thira/Fira, the main town where our Tour director Lisa suggests two directions to take in our free time - either up to the town square or around to the cathedral. We first decide to go to the town square, wending up and around buildings on our right, and magnificent vistas ...

... 5 minute walk to our hotel. There, we discovered an intensely cute hotel with very welcoming staff. Marina (of Costa Marina Villas) was full of suggestions for visiting Santorini. She asked us what we had planned and then gave us a number of suggestions, incorporating our ideas into a solid 3 day itinerary.

First stop, Marina’s family restaurant, Kh’tto’s, down the street for lunch. We had a ...
