... This historic town started as a port and has had about 2,300 years of continuous occupation. Apparently it is the best preserved Romanesque-gothic complex in Central Europe, which was impressive to see when wandering around. But I really think that Trogir's party-piece is it's location, which was impossible for me to capture from ground level, so I've included an aerial photo. Nice piece of real estate, I say!

Sun, sea and Split
... architecture. Little chapels are scattered among, and pressed up between, houses and shops. The rough, yellowy bricks of the buildings arranged in such a way produce a landscape so quaint and picturesque as to lend it an almost fake quality, as if it has been conjured up in the imagination of a Disney set-maker. Island Life
... and think about our options. We decided to stay in Hvar one more night before moving on to Korcula and eventually Dubrovnik but beyond that we had no clue where to go. Two Canadians from Toronto checked in to our hostel. They have been travelling for 9 months and have been keeping a blog since day 1, which has inspired us to start a blog! Split, where there was a 24 hour bakery. Mmmm.

After a lot of discussion we concluded that someone must have come in our cabin on the train when we were sleeping, gone through my bag and just taken the cash. Off to the islands
... to have dinner. It's amazing how cool the evening gets here. We looked online and it's a 10 degree Celsius difference!
We went to a local place for dinner and enjoyed their version of seafood risotto, a Mediterranean bean salad and some soup. Then it was back to the apartment for the night as the town was dead.
