The zoo has a massive orangutan program with quite a few of them spread out over a large area.
After leaving the zoo we stopped down by the Swan River and were rewarded with two swans and five chicks swimming and feeding right on the shore.
Its been a big day so we'll sleep well tonight.

... animals, including two spotted hyenas (I performed a full dental cleaning on one of them, and WOW do they have massive teeth) and a large diabetic male orangutan who was also suffering from poor dental health. The crew at the zoo is lots of fun, and they even have a part time vet who is German! It looks like they may be offering me a relief/locum vet type position (paid!) starting very soon as one of their vets is taking six months off to travel ...

Fremantle is a great place to visit and we loved our day here.
Tomorrow we are doing not a lot. We are going to go to the Karinyup Shopping centre for some retail therapy and the boys are going to check out some local footy in the afternoon.
