**It is worth noting here, that people in Louisiana are really friendly. We have heard "Have a good day" everywhere we have travelled in America. Although only a subtle change to "Y'all have a good day" in Louisiana the real difference is you can really tell they mean it. **

After a short 4 hour drive from Dallas we made it to our campsite in Louisiana. We are pretty central in Louisiana staying in a national park right on a lake. After a light shower overnight (we stayed dry), today was absolutely perfect. We relaxed all day, doing our own little things. Sherry read her book on a float in the water, Debby laid on her lawn chair in the sun, and I went for a long walk exploring the campground. We had grilled pork chops (not squirrel) for dinner, with wild rice, and French cut green beans with sautéed onions and mushrooms.
