The next day we caught our final bus back to Christchurch for one night before heading back to Australia. ... was amazing and I got to hold a rainbow water python, I have now decided that I want a snake and I had a rainbow Lorikeet on my hand trying to nibble at my ring!! We also went to the Aquarium where we got to see a Platypus, various Sea Horses, Stingrays and Sharks. After the Aquarium we took a short walk to The Rocks, as it was a Friday and they have a night market every Friday. In the next room, one of the aquarium employees was doing a presentation on different types of sharks. One wall was covered with plastic panels about how some people were killing harmless sharks for their fins.This has been going on for many years. We have caused much more damage the shark population then they have caused to us.
