... in Italy and I understand why: it is absolutely gorgeous. The buildings look so old and medieval that they are almost cartoonish. The narrow, impossibly steep walkways make you want to don a suit of armor and trot around on horseback. ... over 50 years, have been running the winery for decades. He was very excited to see us and is very proud of this cellar. He works for the Padalletti family who have owned the vineyard since 1571. This family has deep roots in the town, including a street named after them, and you can see their name on the fort (having been personally involved in the military and strategic defense of the city since the 13th century). We drove to the villa a few days ago and have been settling in here getting ready for the wedding and meeting the other guests coming for the wedding. Ryan and Bick (my nephew and his new wife), have friends from all over. Ryan and Bick work in England and Bick's parents are from Malaysia, so was a very multicultural affair.

... park, very relaxing.........until 2 girls around me got stung by jellyfish. Buzzkill, I got out of there and back to the boat ASAP. We took the boat back to Positano and spent some more time on the beach then hiked 30 mins back up to our bus. The roads in Capri, Sorrento and Positano are terrifying, cliffs surrounded by railings and mostly 1 lane around turns. But it was a beautiful view down. Our one friend, Lauren P was very dehydrated all day, passed out, and puked about 7 ...
