About half way through the drive we the road signs for Metropolis, IL, the home of Superman. Of course we had to stop, they advertised a giant statue of the man himself. On 9/7/13 will stay in Eddyville, Kaintuck...... possibly named after some of my Eddy relatives. Will try to find out.

Eddyville, the seat of Lyon county, was settled around 1798 and named for the eddies in the nearby Cumberland River.

We woke up and enjoyed a relaxing breakfast on the deck of our Tree Cabin. (Nobody wanted to leave!) Packed up the car and headed out to do a trail recommended by the cabin owner.
