... of Aztec, New Mexico. The RV Park area will handle up to 576 RVs at one time. We're the only rig here. It's paved and basic, with electricity and water for twenty bucks...cool. Speaking of which, it's now still 87 degrees at seven PM, with a clear sky. Nice.

Tomorrow we'll wander a bit north, about seventy miles into Colorado. More from there, then... Aw shucks, the photos are at>>>http://www.flickr.com/pho ...

... site is not on the water but across from it. Our site has full hook-ups and this is kind of nice for a 6 night stay. With an early start we were finding ...

It was another early morning as we had to be up and into Durango by 7:30 am to catch the steam train to Silverton. This railroad was built in the 1880's to shuttle miners and supplies back and forth between Durango and Silverton when silver (hence the name) was discovered. The train and the trip is spectacular as it winds through the Animas River canyon. Passengers ride in original cars that have been refurbished. Our car, called the Cinco Animas, was a very elegant car ...

Day 8 - Durango - Alamosa

Glen and I went on the historical Durango - Silverton train ride today. It was amazing. This train was used in the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, along with many others. Winding through the hills of Colorado, the spectacular scenery alongside the Animas River, was just breath taking. Glen was amused by the fact that he was starting to look a bit like one of the engine drivers due to the fact that we were all getting covered in soot, being in ...
