      ... grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif; line-height: 18px;">After the meeting, went down for dinner at the Market Restaurant by the lobby.. and as usual Ellistar ordered hamburger.. and he was raving about it. - the best he's eer had.. what do you expect in a fancy hotel - that burger costing $2.00 in Canada will be $20 in Costa Rica!.. so it better be yummy and worth it!

      ... a shuttle train which took us to Gate 6. It was chaos as all flights were postponed. A large storm affected flights up North and although we had planes there were crew shortages. Fortunately we were first off after a 2 hour delay.

      Reached San Jose in the dark so have seen little of it. Was met by a car so that was fine although in the hotel had yo change rooms as I could not get WiFi so here I am, ready for a wash and ...

      ... we are on foot from this point forward.

      The next thirty minutes were exhausting, especially considering we didn’t get our promised breakfast! Alright I am done complaining about this - tour was actually awesome and the people great. Just really wish we had food in our stomaches for that hike uphill….

      Eventually made it to the top of the mountain, and the fun started. Fourteen ziplines and a few rappels ...

      ... I didn't win any of those goodies. Then the music started up and the dancing started. They had a DJ playing dance music and the dance floor was packed. Later in the evening we had more performers! This drum line with girls dancing with big flags came in to perform. It was pretty crazy. The night concluded with the breaking of 2 massive pinatas! It was a great party and I am sure I will never have an appreciation party that extravagant every again!

      ... finding Tikal’s, because there’s not really a city there. There’s a book in the plane that is a Baja Bush pilot guide to airports down here, which is notoriously inaccurate, even though it’s a brand new book. Their information about ATC and about fuel is nowhere close. Several places I’ve been to have control towers and this book said nothing about them. It’s good for runway length, ...
