... a very nice place. There were a lot of mosquitoes in our room because the window panes had gaps in them and wouldn't close all the way. Oh well, only one night here. We went for a walk around town which was about a 10 minute walk away. There were a lot of fast food chains here and I have to say, downtown San Jose is not a very pretty city. ... Rican government and its minions seem to be very concerned with making sure each visitor is LEAVING the country. At this point in the trip, none of us are sure why they are making such a fuss, but inevitably this is going to be revealed.

... I didn't win any of those goodies. Then the music started up and the dancing started. They had a DJ playing dance music and the dance floor was packed. Later in the evening we had more performers! This drum line with girls dancing with big flags came in to perform. It was pretty crazy. The night concluded with the breaking of 2 massive pinatas! It was a great party and I am sure I will never have an appreciation party that extravagant every again!
