      ... grande', tahoma, verdana, arial, sans-serif; line-height: 18px;">After the meeting, went down for dinner at the Market Restaurant by the lobby.. and as usual Ellistar ordered hamburger.. and he was raving about it. - the best he's eer had.. what do you expect in a fancy hotel - that burger costing $2.00 in Canada will be $20 in Costa Rica!.. so it better be yummy and worth it!

      ... signs along the way at the hardest points which were good motivators to keep going. They also had signs at each kilometre. This was not appreciated. I like to play the mind game - you are much farther than you really which works every time. No such luck on this hike. Despite that, we made base camp in good time and enjoyed the view on the way up.

      ... got lost. So after lunch with Dr Hugo, a small, softly spoken Jewish American guy living here in retirement from an interesting work life built around the Air Force, Engineering, Law and Medicine, we headed to his "Garden", and these are my words now, "of Eden".       ... I didn't win any of those goodies. Then the music started up and the dancing started. They had a DJ playing dance music and the dance floor was packed. Later in the evening we had more performers! This drum line with girls dancing with big flags came in to perform. It was pretty crazy. The night concluded with the breaking of 2 massive pinatas! It was a great party and I am sure I will never have an appreciation party that extravagant every again!

      ... air conditioned and it was 31 degrees and we were packed like sardines with windows that don't open. She didn't hurt herself as we were so packed in that there was no room to fall. That's my 3 event now so I'm hoping the rest of my train travel will be incident free.
