    Every day so far we have eaten breakfast "at home." Today we went out for breakfast and boy, was it worth it! We went to Jam, which always has a line up and has appeared on You Gotta Eat Here. We got there just in time as there were only two groups ahead of us. By the time we were seated, the line up stretched half a block!     ... in another tire. This time we were only 200 meters from a tire store. Les Schwabs is a tire dealership throughout the Pacific Northwest. There in a big waiting room that looked more like a coffee shop we had free coffee, popcorn and wifi and no charge for the tire repair! Needless to say we highly recommend Les Schwab.

Because the streets are so narrow and the stairways inside the houses are very steep as well as narrow, every house along the canals has a "hook" at the roof line so furniture and other large items can be hoisted up a pulley system and in through a window.
