We walked/ran down the concourse, but it was probably over a half mile to the terminal and a security checkpoint, and then nearly as far to our departure gate. We arrived just minutes after the door had been closed and were told that ...

... an open one and would be no cause for a claustrophobic outbreak. Relieved, I happily pushed the intercom button for the security guy to operate that lift. What came now I was seriously not prepared for: He asked me why I needed the elevator? Could I not find help from someone to carry the bag down the stairs? ...The lift was only for people with disabilities, he informed me. EXCUSE ME?!?! With that ton of a suitcase, do I not look disabled to you?!
