    New Years Day

    ... still very thoughtful until Daddy said...you beat me!!! You were so fast Marn's well done! It was high five's all round and off we went again. Marni even walked!
    Rosie had a great time too, she went down the sledge with Nanny several times, avoided the luge and the donuts, just like Marni!!

    We were over the moon, because it meant we were likely for a good trip next week!

    Next stop was Airflix - ...

    Snow, Ice and Panto

    ... tea and ended up having lunch there before the trek back.

    In the afternoon Nanny, Grandpa and Uncle Mike took Alexander, Lincoln, Rosie, Brody and Marni of to a pantomime (Aladdin) in Lancaster.

    Matt and I went for a walk to the Midland hotel, back along the seafront, through Morecambe village. We had and Irish and Bailey's coffee and then braved the icy 1 degree conditions on the way back...to the mayhem of family dinner.

    ... who are flying in over the weekend. The first official meet-up is on Tuesday evening, with the start of the bike ride being at the Pyramids on Friday 9th January.
    Hopefully got the packing more or less sorted - at maximum volume and weight so keep going through it all and turfing the occasional additional item out, even though I know that at some point in the trip I'll regret not having the said item with me.

    ... boots have touched the mud yet! I couldn't coax her on to the equipment or flying fox, so we walked around watching the kids play and following Brody. We did see a cute little squirrel and she did get down and walk across the little wooden bridge with me a few times.

    Well Brody was up early today!! Surprise! He actually didn't sleep so well, in the hope of seeing or hearing Santa. He does wake up super happy! Whereas Marni....."I too tired to go downstairs and open my presents, I just need to lie down and have my milk first....turn the light off please, its too bright" oh princess..

    Brody sorted her out pretty quickly and off they went very happy ...
