... hostel had been very hot last night so I hadn't slept much, so I just spent the afternoon sat in a cafe, enjoying my last few hours in Sicily.
So now it is time to say goodbye to Sicily. I'm currently on an overnight ferry to Naples for a couple of days. I will be sleeping on deck and arriving early morning, so we will see how much sight seeing I will manage when I get there!

He went a little crazy, and its slightly massive on top, and very short at the back, but he was so happy with his creation that he got another customer to take pics of me for their facebook page! I think it will be ok once I wash it, it's mainly hairspray and mousse at the mo!
Catania and Taormina, Scily, 25 May
We cannot lie and say beautiful things about the port of Cantania in Sicily. In fact, it is very plain and so different from Valletta yesterday. Our 10-15 minute walk to the train and bus stations did not change the image, probably made it worse. It covers a not so terrific part of town. We have heard that other parts of the city were clean.

First point of call is the breakfast buffet, we did a Wilson's (good tip Mary) this morning and used M-L's freezer bags to do some preparation work so ready to rumble come lunch time. We are on a train for most of the day so need to stock up. Just on the freezer bags, I had a peek into M-L's pack the other day, once I got past the four jumpers / jackets (now only three as one sent back to London) I swear I saw the kitchen sink in there as well! ... the middle of the city, and took a walk to the famous Catania markets. These are the biggest we've seen yet, they must cover three or four city blocks, huge... As usual though, everything tends to shut down around 1pm, so we headed back to the hotel for our own siesta. At around 7pm we ventured out again and found a nice Trattoria for dinner overlooking another quaint ...
