Didgeridoos and sleeper trains
... so we jumped back in our auto rickshaw and asked the driver to take us Trivandrum station to get to our next destination, Varkala. He surprised us all by saying he'd drive us to Varkala, (about 2 hours away!) and we thought why not, so we agreed a price and set off, stopping at his friend's restaurant for lunch on the way, and generally making an afternoon of it,with a few chai stops, was a fun and interesting if slightly cramped journey.

Kochi & Kathakali
... by the discipline of the actors who had so obviously worked for years in the pursuit of their art, it was definitely one of the most interesting things we had seen.
