The old and the new

We found Darwin to be a mixture of the old and the new. Whilst still following our trail of WWII history we visited the war museum (which was really well set out) and saw a video of the bombing of Darwin along with other significant WW II sites, including the oil tunnels. Also saw sites, videos and memorabilia of Cyclone Tracy in our explorations around the city.

Wooohoooo yip yip ye eh whoop whoop, just in case you need to ask had an awesome time on the fishing charter, left the park at about 8 and got in to town about 9. The carpark took some working out and with the help of a local this time things were good. ... und rufe also wieder an. Mittlerweile habe ich so viel Zeit verloren, dass meine Befürchtungen immer mehr wahr werden. Wir müssen mindestens übers Wochenende da bleiben, und es gibt in Darwin eigentlich nichts anzuschauen oder zu unternehmen. Zudem sind die Kosten für die Unterkunft extrem teuer (35 Dollar pro Person und Nacht, in Asien haben wir im Durschnitt 6$ bezahlt).

We got to the Avis office and as we went to swap things over found that a mouse or something like it had been in the car while it was at the dealership getting serviced! We now have a hole in the carpet in the back seat, a small hole in the seat and poo all over the floor! YUCK!
