    ... decorations everywhere. We made our way to the forest, where palm trees and tree ferns actually grow outside in England. We crossed a Burmese Rope Bridge and then made our way to the veg gardens and flower beds. This was a magic place and it was only discovered about 20 years ago. Apparently the gardens are about 200 years old but had been overtaken by brambles…nice recovery poms!

    ... hedge fences and rolling countryside, and quite a few rivers to cross along the way, spilling onto the Atlantic at Portsmouth, Exmouth, Plymouth and Dartmouth among others.

    Cornwall has its own language; a Gaelic tongue, but not Irish, Welsh or Scottish. Can't wait to try a proper Cornish Pasty.
