Der Diktator-Farmer
... habe er von seinem Nachbarn, der ihn immer mit Massen davon versorgt. Also haben wir uns an den Honig gehalten. Er war gar nicht mehr zu beruhigen und am Ende haben wir ihm Geld unter seinen blöden Honig gelegt damit er sich neuen schenken lassen kann.
Leider waren wir bis zum Ende auf ihn angewiesen, da die Farm sozusagen am AdW lag und er uns zum Bus fahren musste.
Dann kam der große Augenblick und wir konnten nach Auckland fahren...

Tokomaru Bay- Tattapouri
... We used the internet to skype the family and check on the world & uploaded more of our life to the blog! (thought we are very far behind now). it took Marc 2hours to make his sundial & it had to go anti-clockwise due to the sun, & he measured every stone to the half hour, it kept him entertained. We stayed up late for the first time as we skyped marcs family and then had a lovely nights ...

... sandwich lunch, so we ventured to a cafe named Chaos. We spent a good 5-10 minutes puzzling over which amazing-looking item to order (all of course displayed in aforementioned cabinets). Luke got a Mediterranean filo (filos are a standard offering) and Ell went for a vegetarian risotto cake (exactly what it sounds like, with spinach on top and a lovely relish). Although I am not a vegetarian, it is very easy and delicious to be one in NZ - I recommend it.

Grey days in Gisborne
... If you like your pools big fancy and cholorinated it probably isn't for you but if you like an authentic hot pool experience (ancient sea water that bubbles to the surface and is piped to the pools) that is cheap ($6 each for entry) I would make time to stop here on the way through. The pool complex is on DoC land and you get a 10min walk through native bush to get there which all adds to the experience.
From there its off to Napier!

Day 38 Boxing Day
... close to crumbling into the sea. This evening we visited a town called Tokomaru bay which is also in need of a bit of a make over and some buildings are left derilict. This is really hard to believe because it one of the most beautiful bays I have ever seen and beach is amzing the golden sand covered in driftwood and shells. On our drive back we passed what appears to be a wild turkey, ate(not the turkey) and went to sleep.
