... are endless numbers of people tent camping and at 8:30, they had the music on loud and full of base. Thankfully, we are no where near these guys. I know it sounds like whining, and it is. We have stayed in some pretty neat places and it's spoiled us. KOA's are high density, great facilities like laundry, pools, play areas and special events, but we are, as my Mom would say, cheek by jowl packed in here. I guess it's only a sleeping spot as ...

... NSW...we certainly did not anticipate what was heading our way as we prepared for the 400km drive south the following day. Bidding farewell to Tea Gardens we collected our hire car from Newcastle airport in readiness for the drive down to the Shoalhaven region on NSW's South Coast. The biblical-like storm that threatened to rain down on our Sunday BBQ was now in full swing as I took control of the jeep Cherokee for the 220mi / 4 hour drive south. Let me tell you Mashers ...

... Seal Rocks on the foreshore of the Pacific ocean. The menu was filled with delightful selection of local seasonal ingredients, fresh seafood supplemented by an award winning wine list. We deliberately selected dishes from each course that our respective taste buds would have us drooling over like one of Pavlov's dogs. Scallops, prawns, Dungeness crab, lobster tails, steak and fine wine sealed the luncheon deal perfectly. With our dining strategy almost complete, we left just ...

... all, we walked 17km today.

After lunch everybody was quite tired so we went for a rest back at Larkspur. Stella so far in the trip has really enjoyed looking through REI with Dad and I. So in exchange for her co-operation after her afternoon nap we scooted across to the mall to have a look at the 4th REI store on tour!

Dad picked up some Chinese takeaways for dinner - a bit more upmarket that the Golden Dragon in Thames - and hit the hay early.
