... miles through NC, TN, VA, WV, PA - 5 states of autumn splendor. And, it was a perfect 60 degree and sunny day. I wish I had more pics of the beautiful countryside, but it is difficult to capture from a 70 mph vehicle. All I can say is, we were not bored. Drove in and out of fog along the I 19. Stopped to take photos of the fog in the valleys and hugging the mountain tops. Tried to find a view off a side road without success so went back to the highway to take photos from where we had first seen the view. Later there was a scenic overlook to the valley on the other side of the mountain.

Pittsburgh was not really what I expected. A dirty feeling city but had a fantastic river frontage area with plenty of activities to get the locals out on a nice day.
