We woke up to a gorgeous blue sky today - it must have known we were leaving Whistler to head South back to Vancouver and down then to Tswassen to catch the ferry to Victoria the capital of Vancouver Island. Anyway to make the most of the half day we had left, we got up early and went for a nice walk all around the Whistler Resort. It looked gorgeous in the sunlight, the trees starting to change colour ready for the start of the Fall (Autumn to ...

We got to the platform took the second train then we had to exit it to get on a different train to get to Centraal station. We encountered rain and lots of it. We managed to get to the Maritime Museum and the Bag & Purse Museum... walking to the purse museum we were drenched..the forecast for tomorrow is ...

... Not impressed by this place south of Seattle. The bed is smaller than a double and they are charging for 2 people to sleep in it. Rip off. We did complain and got a disabled room with a slightly bigger bed. Good shower and we had kitchen facilities in it too which was helpful. $60 3*

It's our time to say goodbye to Ucluelet. We packed the car in light rain and dropped the keys off at the office before heading out of town. Opposing traffic was very heavy as vacationers arrived for Easter weekend - RV's, campers, surfboards. The beaches will be packed. As we drove into the mountains we could see the higher trees dusted with snow from last night's ...

By the 27th the time had come to get finances organized for heading south. Rick’s bank arranged to open a U.S. dollar account for us and order up a U.S. dollar VISA card.

On warm beautiful days we have been walking the local beaches and the wildlife reserve that is close by. Blackie’s Spit at Crescent Beach is lovely and we used to live close by and often took the dogs there to let ...
