The morning of New Years Eve, we jumped in the car with Sasha and set out to see some more of Connecticut. We saw adorable town after adorable town, and had lunch at an old fashioned general store near Goshen. We drove through Cornwall, a perfect little town with a 200 year old covered bridge. ... girls, all between 18 and 25.

Food here is amazing, so are the facilities. We went for a swim this afternoon and in 2 minutes we're teaching the Yanks to play touch. There's a lot of Texans, one from Alabama, one from North Carolina, one from California, two from Conneticut, one from Kentucky and one who is local plus 2 kiwis, one Aussie, one Welsh chick, one pommy fella and a girl from Slovakia.

Better go play, will update again after the game!

I became aware of Norman Rockwell in 1989 on a fall leaf-peeping trip to Vermont with my parents when we stopped at a Norman Rockwell museum outside Rutland. I was a very small museum of his illustrations and not the official one, but I was quite fascinated by it. Only in recent years did I become aware there is a much larger museum in Stockbridge, Massachusetts on the grounds of Rockwell’s ...

... the country estate of Joseph Hodges Choate, a New York lawyer and U.S. ambassador to Britain for a few years around 1900, sits on a hill on the border with Lenox. The home was designed by the famous architectural firm McKim, Mead, & White. There’s a great house tour for those interested in architecture, as well as beautiful gardens and a Chinese ...
