... now, having gone through all that. I like to think my girls are better off too.
Another recurring thought I had in Cocoa, because of my experiences there, was how remarkably resilient older women are. We spent a lot of time with cousins Maureen,Nora and Joan the liveliest octogenarians I have ever met. These ladies make some of our younger friends seem old. Maureen, the oldest - closer to 90 than 80 scurried around all day helping other ...

... A bonus was that the Castillo had free admission today because it's MLK day, a national holiday!

We explored the town and shops a bit on foot, had lunch, and arrived at the courtyard of Flagler College at 2 pm for our tour. The present home of Flagler College was once the Hotel Ponce de Leon, the most luxurious hotel in the country when it was built by Henry Flagler, the railroad magnate, in the 1880's. It ...

When building the fort the masons cut blocks & built the walls with ...

We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay at Hana State Park just outside of Jacksonville, Florida. We should have stayed longer but we were still looking for warmer weather. Onward to near Cape Canaveral and camping at Seasons in the Sun. The camping clientele is different at the private campsites .....more seniors and retirees and snowbirds. This ...

Today we went on a Segway Tour.

      We saw:

      1. Flagler College (the first hotel that had electricity)
      2. A cathedral (it had a pipe organ with the most pipes in the world)
      3. A popsicle shop (it had home made popsicles that were delicious)
      4. A house on fire (it nearly took the chocolate shop!!!)

After lunch went to a animal rescue and rehabilitation park for exotic ...
