We awoke early, as planned, and exited the hotel to cold, heavy rain and gusty winds. We were warned of the strong winds at the wreckhouse. This is a stretch of the Trans Canadian Highway between twin peaks which sometimes tips trucks over when winds are high. We passed through with no problem. The rain and winds followed us all day. Den Rest des Tages verbringen wir lesend im Hotel und lauschen dem Klappern der Fenster. Der Wind rüttelt ordentlich am Haus und die Gardienen bewegen sich durch den Luftzug. Es regnet sich so richtig ein und selbst die Neufundländer haben ihre Regenkleidung rausgeholt und tragen lange Hosen. 8°C sind nicht unbeding die Temperaturen, die man einen Tag vor Sommeranfang so erwartet, aber ich habe zum Glück eh meine ganzen warmen Sachen mit und kann mich so leichter darauf einstellen.
