... but Phil had decided to get drunk and it worked! At 1:30 the night manager came in an asked us to go to bed-we really weren’t loud, but it was late –and Phil argued with her, loudly and she called the police, who did not come, and then they went at it again and finally I got him into our room, and later a knock and there were the police! Phil talked to them, gave them a card on his book and they left. I did not get to sleep till around 5, and up at 7! But- Happy New ...

Seems he was to go to hospital, not sure who decided that-Alice lives about an hour away from him-We can’t reach him on phone and he has not turned up at the hospital!
