Peter D's was a pretty little campground with a vegetable garden in the middle.
When we checked in the owner told us that she grows the vegetables for her guests and
offered us our pick. We had them with our dinner that night. For as far as we could see there were golden fields. We drove into Sheridan and found it to be a real Western Town. The stores sold saddles, bridles, whips and lots of cowboy boots.

So we are off to Mt. Rushmore and have left Yellowstone, though I am sure we will be returning. We stopped in Cody Wy and toured a small museum there called Old Town Trail which was a sort of replica old town circa late 1800s.
Along the way we saw some minor stops and did a few of them till we came to Devils Kitchen. I can't find it anywhere on a map or Google and it was way down some dirt ...

Glad we came at this time of year, we saw hundreds of wild flowers, larkspurs which they also call loco weed out on the mountain sides. These flowers only last about two weeks. The grass is really green but in a month or so everything will be brown. We saw a lot of sage brush which is only about 2 ft high now but will get bigger through the summer. ...

Today we drove from Cody Wyoming to Montana, to Custers Last Stand, which was renamed the Battle of Little Bighorn. We drove through some very beautiful mountains, that were in the clouds....and so were we. We drove very slowly because all you could see was the yellow line.
