... Edward met us at Reception.  He'd seen a note to say we were on our honeymoon and whilst he wanted to give us a suite, they were all booked.  At this point, it was about 7.30 pm and we just wanted to drop the bags, go eat and have an explore.  No, no, he was insistent that he do something for us.  So, gave us free brekki vouchers for the posh restaurant, and wifi too!! Our room was GORGEOUS!!! The bed is HUGE and really comfy ...

Have been for long walk today. Started by walking to the United Centre to see the Michael Jordan statue. Took photos. No shop to buy the jersey Dan had requested. There is a caravan which opens when games are on. 2.8 mile walk did us good. We took the bus back to town though! went to the Hancock Centre - now called 360 degrees. Lovely views over the city and lake. lots of beautiful buildings. Can see why it is regarded so highly for ...

After the ride Matthew and i had planned to go to Buddy Guys blues club but unfortunately it was closed for a private function. So we had an early night instead ...

... there we took a water taxi to Michigan Street, then transferred to another boat where we took in the very interesting Architectural tour. a lot of the buildings are either modernistic, or Gothic in structure.
Pardon my bad memory, and ignorance of architecture, but I do remember that some of them have been designed so that there are recesses to allow the sun into the ...

... hitting the western suburbs along the Fox River just in time for the end of rush hour. We sat in I-88 traffic and then got really stuck near the River Road toll plaza on I-90. It was a bit annoying to delay our return when we were only 2 miles away. We came home and found the pumpkins had taken over a quarter if the yard and that the sunflowers were ten times as tall as when when we left. There were some monster zucchinis in the yard as well. It will take some time to clear the ...
