.....well, scones rather than bread. After school, our "dirty dozen" walked to dinner with Alex and Hailey, natives of Plymouth who traveled to Fredonia last year. They cooked us pizza and authentic English food. The best was scones with cream and jam. It doesn't get more British than this! You cut open the scone and spread a bit of cream ...

... the main goal back in October. I'm just an emotional person who likes to reflect on the intensity of the "little things" so today was a big deal. There is a lot of new vocabulary to learn. For example, a "torch" is a flashlight and "have a go" means "just try your best". I'll try to post one new word a day. ... and only the walls remain. It's now the center of a traffic roundabout and stands as a reminder. More famously, Plymouth is the site the Pilgrims we remember on Thanksgiving set sail on the Mayflower from. James took us down to the water front, and what a view! There is a swimming pool, a park, fishing, shops, and just relaxing. I believe this weekend we will be visiting the Mayflower Museum. I am proud to say too that I am the only one in my group to ...

... so we will have plenty of time to get ourselves and the boat ready. Lots still to do! John left to go back to Soberton this morning and Duncan joined us last night. The boys are still drilling holes and moving things and I'm sure that will continue until just before we leave! . In spite of losing one of our fishing rods in Lyme Bay we are all eagerly awaiting Duncan's first fish!
