... open on a sunny day. It takes 11minutes to open the roof.

Sadly because of roof maintenance we were unable to see\walk onto the field which was pretty disappointing. Interestingly enough both of us were extremely surprised at how small the field actually is in real life. It looks much bigger on TV!

Fun Fact - The stadium cost $719 million to build and the capacity is 69,000 people.

... Peru seeing the many facets of the country. This is what got my attention. I would not only be sightseeing, but getting a taste of local flare and happenings. Since the local touch is more my style, I uncertainly booked the trip. My nervousness was not with going to Peru, but with going with a group. Totally not my style, but given the short notice and general knowledge of Peruvian travel, it seemed much easier. Right now, I need easy.

... Rimes performing the "Star Spangled Banner". Finally it was race time with Dario Franchitti leading the field in the pace car. The noise of 33 cars roaring down the straight at 220mph is something else. What a race it was, with no accidents in the first 148 laps, a record for continuous green flag racing, and some fast and furious racing. Headed east from Champaign where I lost an hour crossing into Indiana and the Eastern timezone. I continued eastwards on the interstate bound for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to collect my parking permit for the race tomorrow.
