... in and we were off. Eight dogs pulled us along. We could talk with Megan (the driver) along the way and we asked lots of questions and learned a lot. It was quiet and peaceful as we were pulled along - I have a video which I've had trouble uploading so will send that separately. ... the rain was steady by the time we had reached the lake and stopped by the time we finished. We traveled back to Banff and had a welcome shower and then went down the Main Street for dinner at a pub called Toque. Lindee was adventurous and ordered a duck Poutine ( a Canadian delicacy ) she was under the impression that she was going to get some duck with this but could find any when it arrived. All that it contained was chips , sauce ( I think it duck flavoured sauce ) and ...

... our intended destination when we drove around a corner and were confronted by a beautiful valley with the river spidering across it. The morning sun was slanting down over it and the whole package was so fetching that we thought it a shame not to stop. We had been saving breakfast until after we’d got to the glacier and beaten the queues to buy tickets, but this was a chance at the Most Scenic Breakfast Ever™ and was too good to pass up. ...
