It's 1600 and we are on our way to Banff and stuck in traffic for the first time. It's also double-wipe rain! First less than perfect moment, says David. (He's driving). Magnificent flowers and views at the top of Mount Revelstoke 1933m (note, majority of the ascent is by car) which fulfilled a long-held ambition of mine (Jennie) to see carpets of mountain flowers in situ. I reckon another 100m in elevation. There were really great views of Lake Louise :) The extra 1.6km was definitely worth it. We had ...

... is so irresistibly delicious. Down town today we enjoyed a Starbucks
coffee, and a Cow brand maple syrup and walnut ice-cream, which is very popular here (and very delicious).

First thing in the morning we did our tour elective, which was a 1 hour nature walk with a guide. Loved hearing about the bears, natural forest growth, the Canadian animals, water systems, seasons, ...

... tells me that he can fix my card… but he has to personally talk to my wife to fix hers… he can’t understand that both cards draw from the same bank account… and since I don’t have Connie’s magic pass words he won’t speak to me… Now 55 minutes have gone by… of course I’m ******…
