By the time we have reached Tregony we have covered 24kms and scaled a final steep hill up to the bus stop, once again in good time to catch the bus to Truro. We take some time here telling stories of the day we’ve just consumed and again I am impressed by Ed who has crunched out these kilometres despite blisters, and much perspiration; it’s wonderful to see how strong he is and how well he’s coping.

... to the Castle. Our first direct benefit from 4 years of membership. We read in the guide book that the Mary ley line only goes through the bottom of the mount and not the Castle and at this time of year, with tourists thick on the ground, it is hard to get a sense of any special connection to things of a more spiritual nature.

... of eight to circle over his prey. I imagine that as the wind was coming towards us he didn't sense us being there. We were so close we could see his feathers being ruffled by the strong breezes that flowed on the thermal. We weren't just watching at that moment, we were feeling that moment, maybe even in it.

Sad to leave but on the way back we jumped into the sea, with no-one around and vast sand dunes in the background. I had never felt so free.
