This morning we drove to Falmouth, about 45 minutes, to catch the Island Queen Ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Martha's Vineyard is primarily known as a summer colony, and is accessible only by boat and air. There are about 16000 permanent residents but over summer the population can swell to 100,000 or more. Woke up to a blistering hot sun and a cooling breeze. Explored the basement and found deck chairs, beach umbrella and a purple inflatable so headed for the beach at the end of the road- took the car for ease of kit transport.

That evening Kelsey and I eat at a restaurant her step mom Lisa recommended called the Ocean View, and did it have a view! It was a very classy place and we were lucky enough to even get in without a reservation.
