      ... down the road, Mike is not a huge fan of wine, so he was our chauffeur (this also allowed Patty to enjoy the entire tasting). We headed to Healdsburg for a little lunch and shopping and did some more tasting at Cellars of Sonoma on the Healdsburg Square. We ended the day with dinner at La Gare, the French restaurant in Railroad Square. It was delicious but I'm beginning to feel like a blimp!

      ... you can't take dogs in the tasting room so he built an outdoor 'suite' for dogs to chill out in whilst the owners get their wine on, how cool! We then travelled further down the Silverado Trail to ZD wines, a much smaller scale vineyard with 26 employees. Here we tasted some fantastic wines, and treated ourselves to a bottle of C******nay, unusual for us as we do not normally like C******nay, but wow! We saw the 2012 Pinot Noir ...

      ... they made one for us. Nathan made friends with the tall attractive blonde waitress and even other customers began making friends with him. One man commented that he had an amazing smile.       ... before I had a Facebook message from an old high school friend who had moved out to Napa and was now working at this winery. He had seen my checkin on FB and said he was working but if we were going that way to stop in, so we went. It was great to see Michael and catchup.
