... point after a rather tough hill, to enjoy the view of the ocean and a sandwich. Then we stopped at ships creek, where there was a wooden tower that smelt like B&Q made of freash wood and ladders. Great view of the coast and a swamp area. We walked on the beach with so much driftwood that we found ‘gandalf the grey/whites’ staff 100 times over. Drift wood lovers eat your heart out. ... we had lunch overlooking the lake and then headed off along the sh6 towards lake hawea.... what picture postcard views..it was another sunny day reflecting on the beautiful azure blue water with pine trees and snow capped mountains as a back drop...really beautiful...then the road flicked across to the northern shores of lake wanaka for a last look and then weaved its way through the dense rainforests of mount aspiring national park..

... Meine Kamera schoss ein Bild nach dem anderen. Ich selber kam aus dem Staunen nicht mehr heraus. Um es so lang wie möglich zu genießen setzte ich mich auf einen Stein und ließ den Blick umher schweifen.

... de andre godt kunne få fat på den. Vores tid på isen bød også på ishuler og det reneste rindende vand. Helikopteren kom og hentede os igen og fløj os tilbage. Da vi var færdige i fox kørte vi til Wanaka, hvor vi på vejen faldt over den hyggeligste camping plads som vi tjekkede ind på. Med udsigt ned til den smukkeste sø med helt klart vand. Campingpladsen har også 6 får som går rundt og passer på os:) det er nu hyggeligt når de kigger forbi vores ...
