      ... it and lived on the land while they built their first house in NC! How exciting!! (Ouch! That BUG just bit me again!) :)

      After buying, building and selling many homes, they are finally retired (as of Dec 31st last year) and are enjoying life, happy as clams. You can see that when we talk Real Estate how I can get really excited and the dream deep in my heart gets revived! ...

      ... and roomy. Except for the fact that Jeff hits his head nearly every time he enters or exits the car, that his knees are in his lap and the back window being the size of rearview mirror, our "sedan" has 4 wheels and will get us where we need to go. Mission Accomplished.

      After not seeing each other for 3 months, we decided it would be a good idea for our first activity to be a 2.5 hour road trip (each way) up to Asheville, NC. Two people. One Acura (Japanese Princess). No air conditioning. Roll out.

      ... down the big hill off Main Street in their home-made racers. Where else do they do that anymore? One of the kids even had a stick with a lunch filled hankerchief hanging off the end as if to say, "If I lose this race I'm outta here."
      Next up, Virginia, where as a tourist once told the docent at the Tourist Information Office, "Y'all worship your ancesters, don't ya."

      Another favorite is mile marker 418 graveyard fields there is a nice hike down to 2 different falls and picking berries in season is fun.

      Devils courthouse is at mile marker 422 good hike to the top views are very nice, caution it is a little steep but worth the hike.
